This truck last month was just run 4000 miles at 55 to 60 miles an hour the fuel was at 8.9mpgs!! The last run was Texas to Michigan with 46,000 lbs at 65 miles an hour with 8.mpgs!!!! how is this you ask???
I use progressive shifting; I shift between 12 and 15 hundred rpms. I do not put it to the floor off the start.
Also I do have the fuel injectors set at 75 percent so they all put out the same stream. Also the oil is changed every 10,000 miles. The tire psi is kept up to 110 psi and I try to use as many stears on my drives as I can...This puts a harder less amount of rubber on the ground. I also use fuel injector cleaners.
This deal also comes with a 1997 stoughton 53 foot dry van trailer.in good shape it is in need of a new tire and a break pad , i do have a new set that comes with the trailer. THANKS please call for more info..
